Species protection is important to us! For over 20 years, hessnatur has been involved in the preservation of the Rhön sheep, which are threatened with extinction. They live freely in the Rhön biosphere reserve - a natural landscape in the border triangle of Bavaria, Hesse and Thuringia - and provide wool for our collections. Unbleached and undyed, it is extremely functional thanks to its water-repellent, high lanolin content.
